DAMAGE:
The adult beetle is the damaging stage. If feeds on the milky grains and sometimes on the leaves. Crop losses of up to 16% have been recorded.

INSECT BIOLOGY & RECOGNITION:
Not much is known about the biology of this sepcies.
Adult: A black shiny beetle up to 6 mm long.
